Arsenal Women have confirmed the permanent departure of 19-year-old winger Vivienne Lia, who has completed a move to Eintracht Frankfurt on a four-year contract. Lia, who joined the club’s academy in 2021, leaves after gaining experience on loan in England and Sweden. The winger, who made two senior first-team appearances for Arsenal, will wear the number 24 shirt at her new club.

Vivienne Lia's Career Journey

Lia spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Nottingham Forest, making 12 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 appearances before joining Hammarby for the remainder of the campaign. She scored once in 12 senior outings for the Swedish side, adding to her development before returning to Arsenal this summer. The player made her senior debut for Arsenal in February 2024 during a League Cup quarter-final and signed her first professional contract in January 2025.

Eintracht Frankfurt's Vision for Lia

Sporting director Babett Peter praised Lia’s talent, calling her a ‘top talent from the English league’ with ‘good speed and one-on-one skills’ to add depth to Frankfurt’s attack. Lia expressed excitement about joining the club, citing its ambitions and familiarity with two teammates, Amanda Ilestedt and Danique Tolhoek. She emphasized her role as a creative attacking player aiming to ‘create things, score goals, and provide assists’ in the Frauen Bundesliga.
