Stanway Joins Arsenal Women

Arsenal Women have signed Georgia Stanway on a free transfer, with the midfielder joining the Gunners after four years with Bayern Munich. Stanway, 27, made 79 league appearances for Bayern, scoring 24 goals and providing 19 assists in the German top flight.

Stanway revealed she was determined to join Arsenal Women after hearing about their interest in her. "I knew I wanted to take the next step," Stanway told the Women's Football Weekly podcast. "I really like the fact Arsenal came in for me when I wasn't available. It's a really nice feeling to be wanted."
