Arsenal Women have announced their public pre-season schedule, with two friendlies at Meadow Park later this month ahead of the 2026/27 Women’s Super League campaign. The Gunners will face Paris FC on 23 August and Charlton Athletic on 26 August, following a training camp in Spain. League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 2nd in FA WSL, 51 pts, 15W-6D-1L from 22 games, recent form WWWDW.
What’s on the pre-season agenda?
Renée Slegers’ squad will kick off their public fixtures against Paris FC on Sunday, 23 August at 1pm, before hosting Charlton Athletic three days later at 7pm. Tickets for both matches will be available soon. The team will also play behind-closed-doors games during their Spain camp, with a potential private fixture on 29 or 30 August.
Why these friendlies matter
This pre-season is crucial for Arsenal Women, who finished second in the WSL last season, four points behind leaders Manchester City W. With six new signings, including Georgia Stanway, Selina Cerci and Ona Batlle, and high-profile departures like Beth Mead and Katie McCabe, these matches offer fans a first look at the revamped squad. Goals this season: 53 scored, 14 conceded (+39 goal difference).
What’s next for Arsenal Women?
After the Charlton friendly, Arsenal begin their WSL campaign away at Brighton on 6 September. The short gap between the final pre-season game and the league opener will test Slegers’ squad as they aim to challenge for the title.
